Worldwide, more than half of the population also prefers to spend their holidays relaxed. Almost 60 percent say they would rather not do too much during the holidays. 33 percent of the 22,000 respondents, spread over seventeen countries, say they prefer an active holiday.

Brazilians in particular like to relax on holiday. 71 percent of them indicate that they prefer not to do too much. In South Korea and Japan, the relaxing holiday is also the most popular with 66 percent. The French (44 percent) and Spaniards (43 percent) are at the top when it comes to active holidays.

Of the Dutch people, the age group between 40 and 49 years old is the largest group (60 percent) that prefers to be lazy during the holidays.
