My day-to-day life is full-on. Two young children, a growing business and a husband who – much like myself – spends regular time abroad for work. Unsurprisingly, ‘organisation is king’ in my life, which inevitably leads to some significant stress at times. What’s more: I’m often trying to lose weight, eat healthier and do more exercise. And more often than not, I manage none of the above. What I have learned, however, is that a little recharge and reset helps me get through the hectic times. That means making time for myself. I love to clear my head through long walks outdoors. Meditation or yin yoga classes also work a treat for me.
When I founded Puurenkuur in 2005, nearly everyone believed that wellness was just another passing trend. However, nowadays, Health & Wellbeing now have a firm place in the lives of many. A health or wellbeing holiday can help you take better care of yourself, give you the opportunity to do what you love most, and to truly recharge both body and mind. A fast-growing group of people embrace this kind of holiday. This gives me a warm feeling of satisfaction and makes me happy.
Puurenkuur is a pioneer in the wellbeing travel industry and since then has inspired thousands of people to take a different type of holiday. It became one of the largest organisations and has offices in Amsterdam, Mechelen (Belgium) and a partner office in London (England).
